Coromandel Law is helmed by Mr. Rohit Shankar, an attorney with nearly a decade’s experience in dispute resolution before all levels of the Indian judiciary, domestic and international arbitral tribunals and various sectoral regulators.

After graduating from the National Law University, Raipur, Mr. Rohit Shankar practiced in Bengaluru, representing clients before the city’s civil, criminal and appellate courts as well as before the National Company Law Tribunal.

Mr. Rohit Shankar worked with a renowned dispute resolution firm in Mumbai where his practice focused on arbitration, both domestic and international, and cross border litigation management. During this period he also represented clients before the Bombay High Court and National Company Law Tribunal. As part of the firm’s pro-bono practice he represented Indian Athletes before anti-doping panels and in a challenge to India’s anti-doping regime before the Delhi High Court.

Mr. Rohit Shankar then worked with an award-winning law firm in New Delhi in its dispute resolution team where he successfully represented a Fortune 500 company in all of its litigation in India and advised on various policy and regulatory issues. The practice also provided niche strategic advisory to large corporations on managing their disputes before they resulted in litigation. His practice included representing clients before several Courts in New Delhi including the Delhi High Court and National Company Law Appellate Tribunal.
